Russell Sage Obituary
West Bloomfield: Peacefully, October 4, 2008 after a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Maryanna (Garling) Sage; daughter, Evelyn Sage of W. Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Suzette Sage of Honeoye; 2 grandsons, Kevin Russell Sage and Kyle Robert Sage; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his first wife Frances Concannon Sage; parents Rolla and Irene Sage; sister, Esther and brother, Wilber. Russell was employed by Ev Lewis Ford in Honeoye Falls for over 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the West Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department joining in 1951.
Special thanks to Dr. Ernest Anderson, Dr. Ramon Qazi and the entire staff of West 4 at Highland Hospital.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 3-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Funeral Service will be held Wed. October 8, at 11 am in the West Bloomfield Congregational Church. Burial, Oakridge Cemetery, Lima, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 24, W. Bloomfield, NY 14585. Russell wanted it to be known that he loved everybody.

Dear Maryanna and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Russell's passing. You will miss Russell dearly, but knowing his pain has ended will help get you through. Honor his memory by talking and laughing and remembering the good times. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Russell will be missed by his Ohio relatives; cousins Julius and family, Helen and family, Pete's family, Bonnie's family, and Bill, here in the Toledo area. He was a wonderful guy and we all loved him. Our hope is that he suffered as little as possible. We send our love and prayers to Maryanna and Evelyn and Ron and the rest of Russell's family. God bless him. He was loved by all who knew him.
