Gladys Sweet Obituary
Hallandale, FL: Gladys S. Sweet, 99, passed away on September 24, 2008. She was married to her beloved husband, Perry in 1933. They were in business together in Rochester NY for 45 years. Perry passed away in 1998. Gladys made Hallandale, FL her home until her death. Was an Eastern Star. Leaves nieces and nephews, Jackie and Jerry Mataragas of Boynton Beach, FL, Michael and Edith Sweet of Rochester, NY, Donald Sweet of Stephentown, NY; and Grandnieces and Grandnephews.
Services will be held at Panciera Memorial Home in Hollywood, FL on October 10, 2008 at 11 am.

I met Perry and Gladys back in 1988, when I purchased two rental properties from them. Both impressed me as extremely intelligent and as very good business people. I made it a habit to visit them monthly for several years, to drop off my mortgage payment. Sometime after Perry died, I visited Gladys in Florida, when she was 90, and found her still quite interesting and up to date on almost everything going on in the business and general world. She was quite inspirational. I miss them both.
