James Paternoster Obituary

Paternoster, James
Trinity, FL.: 69, of Trinity, Fl passed away on October 5, 2008 after a long courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Jim was born on April 19, 1939 in Rochester, NY. He Served in the U.S. Navy and received a B.S. degree from R.I.T. in Rochester, NY. Retired in 1998 after 32 years with Xerox Corporation. Relocated to Trinity, Florida in 1999.
He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn and mother Martha; Sons; James Jr. (wife Amy and granddaughter Melana) and Michael (granddaughter Gabriella), brother Gennaro (wife Teresa), many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Also survived by friend Phil (Pharaoh). Preceded in death by his father James Paternoster. A devoted Catholic, avid golfer, sports fan, very loyal to the N.Y. Giants, Yankees and the Rays. An inspiration to many beloved family and friends, he will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:15 am October 17, 2008 at the Saint Theodore Church, 168 Spenceport Road. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice Inc. Caring for Pasco County, New Port Richey, Fl 34653 or Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Fl. 33612.

I grew up with Jim when he was on Jefferson Ave. and I was on New York St. Early fifties. Ed Dengler, Jasper Talone, Charlie Rogers, and Franny Lipani, and I used to play football in the old Liederkranz Club parking lot. What wonderful memories. We will miss him.

I was Jim's Admin at Xerox in bldg. 868. Jim gave me a job when I could find no other job at Xerox and I have been with Xerox every since. He was a great person and will be missed.

Sorry to hear Jim is gone. I knew Jim from the old neighborhood Jefferson Ave, Arklow & New York Sts. Friends from 1st grade on, he was always a real down to earth guy.
