Roger Gent Obituary
Sodus/Newark: Passed away on October 15th, 2008 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital surrounded by his family. Roger is survived by daughter Peggy (David) Seamen and son Ricky (Patty) Gent; grandchildren Melissa, David (Candy), Ricky (Nancy), Bobby (Kate), Abby Sergeant; great-grandchildren Lexus, Rachel, Lacey; brother Albert "Dutch"; sisters Harriet, Margaret, MaryJane, Sharon and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday 3-5 p.m. at NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street, Sodus, where his funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 25th at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Finger Lakes Community Cancer Center in Clifton Springs. Dear Grandpa,
Sunday we will be remembering who you were, but there was things we didn't know. I hope you will be able to hear the poem I wrote "Who Knew", because I wish we had known more about your childhood and the man you had become.
