Ellen Sand Obituary

Sand, Ellen Marie
Greece: Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Ellen passed away peacefully at home with her husband, Ed Scutt by her side. Also surviving are her daughters, Christine Oinonen (David Lawrence Oinonen Ehren), Elizabeth Ann Oinen and Emily Kay Oinen; grandchildren, Benjamin Oinonen Ehren, Alexander Richard Oinen Rizzo and Charles Peter Oinen Rizzo. Ellen was a life long learner who shared her passion through teaching in the Brockport Central School District, from where she retired.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on October 25, 2 PM in the Sand/Scutt backyard on Macintosh Drive. Please dress casually, as Ellen would want. In lieu of flowers, non-perishable foods or monetary donations may be brought to the service to be distributed directly to the following organizations: Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf, Literacy Volunteers of America, and the Women's Place.
