Hi Bren,

Took me awhile to figure out how to do this. I have to sound your praises,Bren.. You were so brave & strong, fighting with all your might to stay with us. You were so cooperative & accepting of all the bumps in the road. You always put others first, worrying about them & not you. You wanted to "do this with dignity" & that you did my sister dear. You gave us a lesson in dying, that will be hard to match. I will miss your thoughtful, caring ways. You never forgot my mile stones. You were my " much younger sister" & it's not fair that you are gone. I heard so many wonderful stories of your teaching days. You were so highly regarded & those kids were so lucky to have you, as we all were.. Your years were too short but your legacy is long. I'm glad you're in a better place with Dad & Gary & no longer suffer. Mom has declared 10/30 as Dad's official birthday from now on. I'm so proud to call you sister & thank God for your presence in my life. Now you are with us forever in memory. Peace my sister dear. I love you
Carolyn

Brenda,
It was a privilage to teach with you at both #30 and #28 school. One of my earliest memories of teaching and one of my best lessons learned was in your classroom. I am glad we had the chance to be together as colleagues and share personal thoughts as well. You knew more then one secret of mine, and I'm sure you took them with you! You will always be one of the most respected teachers I'll remember working with. Good bless you and your family, Ms. DiCesare.

My sympathy to Mike and to Brenda's family. I worked with Brenda at #28 for three years. One day Brenda called me to come to her classroom . She brought her prized reading questions out of her files and presented them to me. I used them every day in my classroom. She quietly flew under the radar at #28 doing her job in a humble way that never got her the attention she deserved. She was a great teacher, colleague, and friend.

Mikie Boy:

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is hard to know what to say at a time like this. You and Brenda seemed to have the kind of connection that is rare and hard to find. I am so glad that you two found each other and were able to enjoy life together. I know that none of us ever think that our time with our loved one will end so soon and it makes no sense when it does. Take comfort in knowing that you loved her with all your heart and that even though she is not physically here, that love will never ever disappear.
You are so near and dear to my heart and I love you very much.

Love,
Cousin Barb

Brenda was a friend since our days at Cardinal Mooney High School. She was a wonderful person that could be counted on to lend an ear, or share a conversation. People like Brenda make the world a better place. She will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family and her many friends.
