Nevin, Ella May
Avon: Died on October 30, 2008, at age 91. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Karen Nevin, William and Mary Nevin all of Avon; grandchildren, Amy and Darrin Smith, Katie and Jeff Schweitzer, Lisa and Mike McClure, Jamie Nevin; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Bradley Smith; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Agnes and Stewart Nichols of Penfield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Samuel and Betty Nevin of York; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Nevin; granddaughter, Ashley Nevin; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Violet Carpenter; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Tom Bovill. A very sincere thank you to her special angels who cared for her, Mary, Judy, Joanie, and Jan, and many others. She and her husband were Avon Citizens of the Year in 1989. She was a member of the Rebekah's for over 60 years.
Friends are invited to call Sunday Only, 5-7 P.M. at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Central Presbyterian Church of Avon. Interment, Avon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Avon Lions/Nevin Loan Closet c/o Joe Prinzi, 18 Lake Rd., Avon, NY 14414, or Central Presbyterian Church, 133 Genesee St., Avon, NY 14414.
