Phyllis Schiff Obituary
Brighton: October 31, 2008. Predeceased by husband, Eugene and son, Mark. Survived by loving daughters, Melissa (Stephen Sulkes) Schiff and Carolyn (Noah Millman) Schiff; daughter-in-law, Freida Schiff; grandchildren, Rebecca & Rachel Schiff, Zeke & Gabe Sulkes, Moses Millman.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 11 AM in Benjamin Goldstein Chapel at Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Avenue). Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Following the Funeral a Period of Mourning will be observed at 33 Whitestone Lane, Sunday through Tuesday, 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mark Schiff, MD Memorial Visiting Professorship Program, NSLIJ Health System Foundation, 125 Community Drive, Great Neck, NY 11021, in her memory. Phyllis had been my thrapist for many years. She has helped me more than I ever thought possible. She was a warm, nurturing, kind hearted person. She was always willing to help no matter what the issue or time of day. While talking to and learning about myself and Phyllis, I know she put her love for her family before anything else.

There are no words to truly capture my feelings about the loss of Phyllis. I have known Phyllis for the past eight years. It started off that my husband and I were referred to her for marital problems and then it grew into we would just book an appointment with her to drink coffee, chat and catch up with one another :)
I just found out this past weekend about her passing and it is a monumental loss for the Rochester community as well as her family. She was an extraordinary woman that has touched many lives and she will never be forgotten! I hope to someday grow to be half the person she was. My heartfelt sympathy to her family and just know that there were many times I was jealous of you all because you could truly say she was a part of your family. However, know that in some crazy way I too consider her to be my family as well. She was so remarkable and full of life!
My deepest, deepest condolences to all of you. I know that you don't know me, but if there is anything in this world I can do for you or for her in her memory please do not hesitate to ask. Again, she was truly a remarkable woman who was loved and will be missed dearly.

In times like these it is a difficult , I would like to send my deepest sympathy and prayers to the family of Phyllis E. Schiff, Phyllis she have touched so many lives in agencies and the community, I am grateful that I was able see her as in the past being elegantly dressed and to see her smiling face recently with my team members. Keep the faith!
