Eric Stevens Obituary
Rochester: October 31, 2008 at age 62. Preceded by his parents, Charles and Mary Stevens, and one brother, Darryl Stevens. Eric will be forever cherished by his daughter, Leslie Dowdell; grandchildren, Albert, Michael, and Lauryn; brothers, Lloyd, Jesse (Carrie), Kenneth (Daisy), Richard (Paula), Harold (Mattie), Dwight (Patricia) Stevens, all of Rochester, and William Smith of Carson, CA; sisters, Barbara Stevens and Brenda (Larry) Murphy-Pough; special friend, Lynette Sullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Eric was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1969 and he was also a member of the Lilac City Lodge #12263, G.U.O.O.F. (Odd Fellows).
Eric's life will be remembered and celebrated on Monday, 4PM at the D.M. Williams Funeral Home, 765 Elmgrove Rd. (Calling hours will begin at 2PM, Odd Fellows Memorial Service, 3PM). Rev. Fannie Reeves, officiating. To share memories and condolences visit: www.dmwilliamsfuneralhome.org.

My Dearest Brenda & Family,
Words cannot begin to express my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your brother (loved one). God says that he will never put more on us than we can bear... Losing someone you love so dearly is often unbearable. Just know in your heart that he is no longer suffering... that should bring some peace.
Although the days ahead will be long, keep your head to the sky...find comfort in the days ahead from all the memories you all shared. Brenda, your brother (loved one) may no longer be here in physically, but he is ALWAYS just a thought away.
