Teahan, Julia K.
Penn Yan: Julia K. Teahan, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008, surrounded by her loving family and courageously accepting her diagnosis of cancer since 1996. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Monday, November 3rd, 2008, at St. Michael's Church in Penn Yan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 at the St. Michael's Church with the Rev Peter Clifford officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Julia's memory may be made to St. Michael's School/Church.
Julia was born September 29, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Julia Cooney Kimple.
She is survived by her five children: daughters, Julie M. of Rochester, Mary E of Bowling Green, KY, Jennifer (Stuart) Wright of Burtonsville, MD; two sons, James E (Marlaine) of Grand Ledge, MI. and Thomas G (Deborah) of Rochester; six grandchildren, James IV, Christopher and Blaine Teahan of Grand Ledge, Michigan, and Flint, Nathan and Julia Wright of Burtonsville, MD; two sisters, Helen Lawson of Staten Island, NY, and Catherine (James) Doherty of Loveland, Colorado and Naples, Florida; brother-in-law, John J. Brennan; along with many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John (Eileen) Teahan of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Bernadette Teahan of NYC, Ann Marie (Charles) Wilson of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Margaret Tyson of Deer Park, New York.
Julia was predeceased by her husband James E. in 1989. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Thomas, and sisters, Margaret Fitzgerald, Patricia Mullally, and Geraldine Brennan; and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Philip) Teahan Hennessy.
