Janice Birnbaum Obituary
Brighton: On September 6, 2007, at age 90. Peacefully surrounded by her children at home. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard; mother, Sarah & father, Benjamin Hurwitz; brother, Darwin Hurwitz; Survived by 2 children, Jay (Ricki) Birnbaum & Ilene (David) Flaum; grandchildren, Asher (Monica) Flaum, Loren Flaum & Sara Flaum, Bernard & Jonathan Birnbaum; great-grandson, Ryder Jacob Flaum; uncle, Harry Coleman; nieces, Suzanne & Lin Mara.
The family extends special gratitude to her aides, who treated her so well, Roz, Iris, Marge, Melinda, Lorraine, Irva, & Antoinette.
Janice's Funeral Service & Interment were held Friday, Sept. 7, 2007. A period of mourning will be observed Sunday 12-2 & 5-7, Monday 1-3 & 5-7 at 57 Knollwood Drive. Donations may be made to Temple Beth El, the Jewish Community Federation, Jewish Community Center or the Jewish Home. For directions or to leave a message for the family please light a candle at:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my mother, Janice and Dorothy. Janice was always interested in my work, my social life, my political views. We shared many interesting conversations.My mother, Ernie and I are so saddened by this news.
