Doubles, Emerson K. "Skip"
Hilton Head, SC.: Emerson E. "Skip" Doubles, 76, of Hilton Head, SC, died Friday, September 7, 2007, at his home.
Survived by his wife Susan; children, Kurt Doubles of Rochester, NY, Kris Doubles of Tampa, FL, Elizabeth Greene of Hilton Head Island, SC, Ericha Doubles of Hilton Head Island, SC and Amie Dumbleton of Southlake, TX, and their respective spouses. His grandchildren include Victoria, Alex, John, Andrew, Betsy, Will and a great-granddaughter, Gracie; as well as his sister Rita Doubles of Florida.
A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Hilton Head Monday, September 10, 2007, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to, Programs for Exceptional People, 10 Oak Park Drive, Building C-1 , Hilton Head, SC 29926 and Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, PO Box 24158, Hilton Head Island, SC 29925. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

I was sorry to hear about Skip, he was one of my favorite people. I am honored to have known such a great person. He has been an inspiration to me since my first days of flying with him at Gannett. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
