Patricia Wygant Obituary
Brighton: September 24, 2007. Survived by William, her husband of 56 years; daughters, Catherine (Dan Monroe) of Essex, MA, Jackie (Chuck Williams) of Portland, OR, and Holly of Rochester; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Christina Bryans of Falls Church, VA; a sister-in-law, Ida Wygant of Buffalo; 2 nieces and a nephew. Mrs. Wygant was predeceased by brother-in-law, Edmund Wygant of Buffalo, April 2007.
Mrs. Wygant was born in Marion, OH, Nov. 10, 1926. A Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate of Syracuse University, she worked as the graphic designer for the Downtown United Presbyterian Church for 25 years. A nationally recognized award-winning watercolorist for 60 years, Mrs. Wygant continued to work in her Anderson Alley studio up until her hospitalization Sept. 5. She is best known for 'architectural portraits', images of boats and botanical subjects. She loved to travel and, with Bill, enjoyed a special fondness for Venice, Italy and the Greek Islands.
No calling hours, private interment. A Memorial Service, followed by a reception, is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 5th at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St. Parking is available at Sister Cities Garage one block south of the church.

I worked with Pat back in the days of Central Presbyterian Church when David McMillan was the Sr. Pastor (way back in the mid-to-late '60's). She was an important person in my life and and I still cherish my three pieces of her work.
I'll be thinking of all of you and I am so sorry for your loss - I'm sure her passing will leave a large hole in the fabric of your lives.

So many great memories of Pat and Bill's friendship with Mother (Peg) and Dad (Clyde Everhart), especially the sleep-in New Year's parties when we were kids. I cherish the beautiful water color Pat painted for Mother & Daddy's 50th wedding anniversary. May God bless your grieving with love and memories of laughter.
