McPhee, Carolyn Brown
Oxford, CT: 77, of Lisa Drive, Oxford, CT, formerly of Rochester, New York, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Daniel F. McPhee for 56 years. She was born in Rochester, New York, on May 2, 1930, loving daughter of the late John and Grace Brasser Brown. She was an avid homemaker and formerly worked as a Telephone Operator for the Rochester Telephone Company. Carolyn has resided in Oxford for 25 years. She was a devoted communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Carolyn loved to sew and be with her family and friends. She believed everybody should hug a tree. Her loving family, in addition to her beloved husband Daniel, includes her two sons, David D. McPhee and his wife Darlene of Rochester, New York, and Douglas E. McPhee and his wife Melanie of West Warwick, R.I.; and two beloved brothers, Eugene Brown of Macedon, NY, and Howard Brown of Fairport, NY; a cherished grandson Jeremy McPhee and a cherished great-granddaughter Kaily McPhee. She was predeceased by a beloved brother Bruce Brown.
A funeral service in celebration of Carolyn's life will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 9:00 AM at the Chapel of Miller Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., (opposite of Klarides Village, Rte. 67) Seymour, CT, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Interment will be In the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. Expressions of sympathy in Carolyn's memory may be made to The Covenant House of New York through the funeral home.
