Floyd Hook Obituary
Gates: October 16, 2007. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy of whom he was married to for 57 years; three brothers and two sisters. survived by his devoted friends Mary Salvia; Mary Rita Sherry; Joanne Sanna; Grace Sinopoli; Cindy Woods; Father Tom Corbett; nieces & nephews. Floyd was a life-long member of Elmgrove United Methodist Church.
We acknowledge with gratitude, the care, comfort and affirmation given to Floyd by the staff and caregivers of Park Ridge Living Center.
Friends may call at the James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. @ Howard Thursday 2-5pm where a funeral service will be held Friday 11am. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Floyd was an unforgetably fun-loving influence to all that met him, if you stopped by his roadside stand to buy a pumpkin, or if he made some unsuspecting lady friend "Queen for a day". When the holiday postcard arrived you automatically knew who it was from. It was uniquely designed by none other than Floyd.
He and his brother Bunny sold their "Camp" and Christmas tree farm to us about 17 years ago. To this day I consider it their property that we use and enjoy. In recent years I lost contact with Floyd, however I will forever have him as a friend. His name alone brings a smile to my face. It is sad to know he is gone from this world, but gratifying to have known him. He was a true "One-of-a-kind".

I have known Floyd for about 10 years through Elmgrove United Methodist Church. I even did one of his famous "signs" that he had on the lawn next to his house! Floyd had a great mind and remembered everything. I really enjoyed hearing his stories from "the olden days". He was always pleasant to me. May you rest in peace Floyd.
