Dear Kids and Grandkids:

We're so sorry about your, and our, loss of Rita. We were on the road, heading for FL, when Pat called to tell us about it. She was going to call us with details, but didn't. So, we just went to the obits and learned the funeral was today. Too late for flowers, but then, you didn't want them anyway!! We'll do something for VNS.

I know Rita from day one of my life. I'm sure she was on the scene that Christmas day, in 1938. I spent lots of time at the Sage's on Humbolt Street (forgive me if I have the street name wrong...I left Rochester 51 years ago). Your grandparents and aunts/uncles were very dear to me. I remember Gene coming home from the war, uniform and all.

Our daughter, Lori, was born 44 years ago, on October 6th. Your mom was there, in Syracuse, the day we arrived home from the hospital. We'll never forget that. I believe she came down with my folks and probably her pal, my sister Pat.

Rita was always full of energy and always positive, and always up for a party, and always supportive of our family. I loved her like a mother/sister and Jean and I will miss her very much.

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time of sorrow. May God bless Rita and welcome her into His kingdom.
