Ted, I can't believe you have been gone from our lives for a year!! I keep hoping that is was just a bad dream and that when I go home I will see you at the airport and then at home. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you, Brian and Jim. It has been hard to understand why 3 brothers are gone. I know that you are all together and you are playing the role of big brother which you were always good at. I love you and miss you so much. Until the day we are all together again. Love your sister, Gail
Hugs and kisses to you, Brian and Jim

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Thelma, Norm, Mike, Barry, Keryn, and Gail,
We have known all of you forever it seems, and we know the terrible shock this has once again brought to a very loving, caring, family-oriented group of people. How do we ever reconcile so many tragedies in one family? God must have a purpose, but it seems a bit "gray" just now. May the Lord bless all of you and keep you all in his tender arms forever. With all our love and prayers.

Teddy Bear as I called him touched my life at a very early age. With him being such a good friend with my brother and the rest of the family, I will always be honored to have known him and see him as another brother. With such an age difference between my siblings and I, (I being the youngest with as many as 11 years difference between the oldest and myself,) I was able to enjoy the people that were amongst my siblings. That being said, I must say that Ted is one of my very favorites. When he would be at our house he would either hold my hand to cross the road or even better, carry me across the road. One of a child's best memories would have to be that of their most precious "teddy bear." Ted, you will always be in my heart and whenever the time comes, I want you to there to again carry me across that road. "That road" will be the one that crosses in to heaven. I hope all of you are having a good time up in heaven You all know who you are.
My blessings are with the entire Shaver family.
Love,
Cindy "Quanz" Perkins

Ted, Although only a few conversations were exchanged, that was more than enough to show your calm demeanor, and you're uncanny ability to brighten up even the darkest days. Now that you have brightened up so many of our lives, its time for you to rest in a place where it is bright all the time. May you rest in peace, and your spirit live forever within the hearts of us all, and the walls of the ROC.

Ted, When I started at McNeil as an "OJTer" I was nervous and knew no one! My first day of training I was paired up with you and Mel and I knew that day that I had gained a friend. You were always there to lend a hand, and a smile to all and you always brighten up days with just a simple "Good Morning!" even when you didn't know it. You touched so many lives, including my own, and I'm privledged to have known you for a short period of time then to not have known you at all!

A loved one is never truly gone, when they live in our hearts. Ted, you touched so many lives and so many hearts, hopefully a piece of your love has remained with each of us. Maybe we too can learn to be a little like you. I will miss that smiling face and upbeat attitude. I am lucky to have known you. I love you. Sleep well my friend. Until we meet again...

Ted,
I didn't know you very well but you always took the time to stop and say hello. You were a kind, hard-working, and easy-going fellow. This tragedy serves to remind us of how often we take our friends and family for granted and always expect them to be there. All the best.

To all who knew and loved Ted, like me, I will miss and think about him often. He always was a good friend and a strong man to know and love. Its hard to imagine life, work, without him. My friend I will always have you in my heart and have learned a great lesson. Keep those you care about close and let them know you love them everyday. Life is too short. I will see you in a better place I'm sure. Rest my friend. You deserve it. Love always,

Ted, you touched more people than I think you knew. Your strength, courage and perseverance in good times and bad are an example for us all. My only wish is that I had a chance to say "Goodbye my friend". May your sudden passing be an example for us all to treat each other like today is the last day we will see each other. Hey Ted, Thank you for being you, I Love you, and finally, Good Bye.

Ted you will be missed more than you know. No matter what was going on you were always a pillar of strength and could find a humorous side to anything. I will miss your smile and your laughter. To those left behind, find strength in the memories of a man bigger than life. God bless, my thoughts and prayers are with all whose heart Ted touched.
