Noel Dobbins Obituary
Lyons: Died peacefully at Strong Memorial Hospital Thursday, October 18, 2007, at age 40, after a courageous 26-year battle with scleroderma. Noel was born in Lyons, November 13, 1966, son of G. Winston & Helen Kehoe Dobbins. He worked in sales and was president of Central New York Amputee Support Group. He was a graduate of Lyons High School Class of 1984 and member of the Lyons Chamber of Commerce. He was very involved in the mural program in Lyons, and enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughters and his nephews & niece. He is survived by his beloved daughters Hailey and Sidney who gave him inspiration to enjoy each day; their mother, Margaret; his mother, Helen ("Bid") Dobbins of Lyons; 2 brothers, Sean (Imelda) & Lucas, of Lyons; exchange student brother, Brett; nephews George, Noah, Charlie, Duncan; niece, Lucy; uncle Tom (Barb); cousin, Sabrina (Darren) and many friends. Predeceased by his father Winston, January 10, 2007.
Friends may call Monday 4 - 7 PM at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Michael's Church, Lyons. Burial at convenience of the family. Memorials to Mural Mania c/o Lyons Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 39, Lyons, NY, 14489, or to a local charity of one's choice.

To the Dobbins Family,
I met Noel while covering Mural Mania earlier this year. He was an inspiration and proud of his accomplishments and really shared a love of life and family in the brief time I spoke to him while interviewing him for the story.
I am glad to have met him. He loved life and all of you dearly.
