Phyllis Hidley Obituary

Hidley, Phyllis
Mountaintop, PA: Formerly of Pittsford NY, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Smith Health Care Center in Mountaintop, PA. Born in Albany NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Simon and Hazel Elizabeth (Burt) Van Burk. Phyllis was a graduate of the Albany Business School, and was a founding member of both the Mid-Valley Garden and Bridge Clubs. Prior to her retirement she worked for the Tom Hart Real Estate Co., in Mountaintop. Phyllis loved nature and was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband of 59 years, Robert W. Hidley. Surviving are her sons, Robert and wife Sherry, Salem, OR, Peter and wife Laurie, Penfield, NY, and Andy and companion Janice Slusarczyk, Mountaintop. Her sister, Mrs. Owen (Adrienne) Toon, South-port, FL; four grandchildren, Anne, Peter, Tim and wife Allison, and Scott; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Noah.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29th at 11 AM in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mountaintop. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mountaintop Ambulance Assoc., P.O. Box 63, Mountaintop, PA, 18707, would be appreciated.
