Rodney Antalek Obituary
Livonia: Died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 after a short illness. Predeceased by sister, Juanita Sosnowski. Survived by wife, Marilyn (Dietz); daughter, Christine Antalek of Lima; sons, John (Samantha) Antalek of East Freetown, MA; Brian (Deirdre) Antalek of Livonia, and Michael (Diane) Antalek of Honeoye Falls; sisters, Jacqueline Antalek of Willow Springs, NC, and Barbara Wilson of Mabank, TX; grandchildren, Klarissa, Sarah, Catherine, Casey, Adam, Eric, and Melissa; several nieces and nephews.
Rodney taught industrial arts at Livonia Central School for 35 years. He was an avid bowler and past president of the Perry Bowling Association.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 26 at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 27 at St. Matthew Church, Livonia at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in his memory to the Livonia Ambulance Fund, PO Box 8, St. Matthew Church, PO Box 77, Livonia, NY 14487 or a charity of one's choice.

I don't recall ever meeting Rodney, but I was in college with his daughter, Chris, who was a wonderful daughter and someone any father would have been proud of. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Not only was Rod our Class of 57 advisor but he and I were in the wedding of Mary Lou Gleba and Frank Beaton.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to connect with him when we had the'57 Alumni gathering.
He'll be in my prayers.

I am so sorry for our loss and my prayers are with Marilyn daily. I loved Rodney and last night while praying I could visualize him in heaven, doing carpentry work with a whole hand smiling and eating real chocolate.
