Curtis James Obituary
Raleigh, North Carolina: October 17, 2007 at age 85. Predeceased by his former wife, Elizabeth James and one son, William James. Survived by 7 children, Curtis Jr, Kenneth, Juanita, Calvin, Yvette, Colette and Monique; one sister, Bessie Thompson; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 sons-in-law, Billy Barnes, Kirby Davis; two daughters-in-law, Iris and Connie James; stepmother, Clementine Prister; and other relatives and friends. Curtis was a retiree of the New York City Police Department serving as a Lieutenant in the community for more than 25 years. He enjoyed discussing politics, religion and history. His greatest joy was having family and friends gathered around him.
Calling Hours Friday 6-9PM at Metropolitan Funeral Chapels, Inc. 109 West Ave Funeral Service Saturday 1 PM in the Chapel, Elder Richard Fetzner. Officiating Interment Riverside Cemetery
