John Bendzus Obituary
Dansville: On 10/26/07 at age 86. WW II Veteran and retired owner of Bendzus Nursery. Husband of sixty two years to Rita Werth Bendzus. Father of Margaret (Karl) Lennox, of Sparta, Lorraine (Robert) MacWhorter, of FL, Michael (Wilma) Bendzus, of VA, Gregory (Cindy) Bendzus, of Sparta and James Bendzus, of South Dansville, also survived by a daughter in-law, Jean Bendzus of Sparta 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son, John Jr., siblings, William, Richard, and Martin Bendzus, Bessie Zimmer and Dorothy Forkell and a great-granddaughter Kayonna Bendzus.
Visitation Today 7 - 9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Monday at 11:00 am. Interment with full military honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. American Legion prayer service 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris, NY 14510, or the Bath VAMC, Respite Care, 76 Veterans Ave. Bath, NY 14810.
