Greece: Went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2007. Survived by his loving wife, Sonia Ghazoly; children, Mariah & Damian Ghazoly; sisters, Nagua (Edward) Ibrahim & Nashua (Nashaat); father-in-law & mother-in-law, Selim & Samia Serry; sister-in-law Sylvia Serry; brother-in-law, Steve Serry; many friends & colleagues. BARTOLOMEO & PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Ln. (between Rte. 390 & Long Pond Rd.) Visitation Sunday 2PM until 6PM. A celebration of Waseem's life will be held 11AM on Monday at Greece Assembly of God Church, 750 Long Pond Rd. Interment Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Mary Cariola Center, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.

Its hard to believe that its been 12 years since our beloved Dr went to be with the Lord. He was a brilliant doctor, so ahead of his time He truly was part of our family. No one has yet to compare to his skills and knowledge. He definitely was a gift to this world. We miss you doctors Ghazoly

I still remember him as if he was never gone. He was the best doctor and friend i ever had. We would talk about the Lord in particular. He just passed too young. He had a lot to offer this world. I just found out today, (Nov. 15) that my friend and doctor, Waseem Ghazoly had died. Waseem was a wonderful doctor, a gentle, kind person and as someone stated, always had time to hear your concerns. He was there for me when my wife died 18 months ago and I will never forget him and the larger person he was in my life.

Like others, I was shocked when I learned of Dr. Ghazoly's passing. I was his patient for years. He was the best. Simply put, he was a great doctor and a great guy, He saw me through some very tough times. As busy as he was, he always found time to listen. To his family, thank you for sharing him with us. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

My husband and I were stunned to hear of Dr. Ghazoly's passing. He was by far one of the kindest most considerate human beings we have ever know. He was an exceptional doctor who can never truly be replaced. He always asked about family and was quick with a smile or a story. I'm very sorry for your loss. I just found out through a letter I received just today Nov.10.2007. My heart aches. He was not only my doctor, I considered him to be a friend. We always spoke of God. I enjoyed his cards he would keep in his office. I can't stop crying because this tragic thing happened. I know how you all feel.But may the Lord keep us strong. I know he would have wanted that.Once again my heart goes out to the family. He spoke very highly of the Mrs.and children. It's not fair he was a great man.He was also very proud of the Christmas decorations he did outside.He told me to go see them, being I live right down the street from the family. They were so beautiful.I'm going to find it hard to get another doctor as good as he was.Once again I'm so sorry

I was very saddened to just find out today of the passing of one of the people in my life who made a major impact on me. Dr. Ghazoly was always willing to take the time to listen to me and answer questions. He saved my life! I will always remember him in my prayers and he is an example of what I should strive to be in my life. I will never forget him and he will always be my hero. I was greatly sorrowed in hearing of Dr. Ghazoly's death. I have been a patient of his for quite a while. We talked and joked together and I will miss him terribly. Very saddened to learn of Dr. Ghazoly's passing. long time patient, Dr. Ghazoly helped me to understand everything is ok as it is. In Octobter Dr Grazoly referred me to a urology for prostrate and have early cancer.

My father and I are very saddened by this loss. My father was a regular patient and I would visit him on occasion. We have lots to thank him for as he guided my father with his advice and wisdom after his sickness. In fact, five years later he is still going strong, all because of Dr. Ghazoly. My father actually said that he felt worse about hearing of this tragic loss than that of his own brother. I myself see this as a loss to society. However, I think he is in a better place and I'm sure he will keep spreading his good will with God. He always was quick to greet you with a smile and leave you feeling good inside. Although this particular departure doesn't leave us feeling good, we know he did his share in making his world a better place. My deepest sypathies for all of his family and for all that he touched.

Dr. Ghazholy was like a member of our family. Everyone loved him and thought highly of him. In fact, I learned today that a co-worker also had the same doctor and her comment to me was also, "he was like a member of our family".
Dr. Ghazoly was a brilliant doctor who was compassionate and a great listener. He had a wonderful sense of humor, combined with a heart of gold. A true gentleman in every way. May God above, find him a special place in heaven, for he deserves the very, very best.
To the members of his family, I pray for you daily and hope that you know that Dr. Ghazoly would want everyone to carry on and do good because that was just the kind of man he was. The world was made a better place with him in it and he will be sorely missed.

I was a long time patient of Dr. Ghazoly as were many members of my family. I have a prayer card on my counter at home that I got from one of his exam rooms. It reads, "God has the perfect plan for my life. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me."
Everyone who hears of Dr. Ghazoly's passing is shocked and rightly so. He was a magnificent doctor and human being. He was, is, and will always be loved by many. I think that he fufilled his purpose very quickly on earth by helping so many people and that God had greater plans for him up in heaven.

It was with very great sadness that I learned about Dr. Ghazoly passing away. I first went to him because my doctor had retired and my mother was Dr. Ghazoly's patient. I will always remember how very good he was to my departed mother and also my first visit with him. He exuded warmth and kindness. Through the years he continued to be a person I could confide in and seek solace when saddened and humor when warranted. I will always miss him. He was a wonderful person and physician. My 90 year old mother had just seen Dr. Ghazoly on October 22, 2007 and was obviously shocked and saddened to here of his unfortunate passing.
Though 90 years old and a patient for many many years, she still remembered fondly her first visit with Dr. Ghazoly. Likewise, she will remember her last visit, where he continued to demonstrate great patience, care,understanding and knowledge that made him so special.

Mrs. Ghazoly, I was truly sadden this evening when my mom informed me that Dr.Ghazoly had passed. I can not explain the pain my heart feels. Dr. Ghazoly will be truly missed, he was my Doctor for many years before moving here to Atlanta GA. Dr. Ghazoly was a wonderful Doctor and an exceptional human being. I will miss him dearly. My husband and I were patients of Dr Ghazoly. We are extremely saddened by his passing.
He was truly a ONE OF A KIND doctor. He always took his time to listen and answer our questions and was always concerned for our health and well being. He was a genuine, kind, considerate and caring Doctor and gentleman. We will always remember him with love and for his compassion.
He was very personable and would share his childhood memories of Egypt with us and we would share our memories of Scotland with him. We will miss him.
He loved his family and had their photographs in every examining room. He would also have different little bible cards and verses to read and extra ones if you would like one - we have quite a few of them - now, to us, they will be memories of him.
