Mary Lloyd Obituary

Lloyd, Mary E.
Henrietta: Jingle makers could have created, "Have It Your Way," long before they did, had they met Mary Eleanor Deutschbein Lloyd (4/20/25-10/25/07). Proud to be a stubborn German, Mary could be gentle and loving, kooky and eccentric, single-minded and fiercely loyal. Cats, German Shepherds and considerate neighbors spiced her life, and she loved music, singing, and dancing. Most of all, she was head-over-heels-in-love with Navyman Roy Lloyd Jr., whom she married 7/13/46. Together they had seven children, Susan, Sharon (Michael O'Connor), Stephen (Anne Boyle Lloyd), Henry (Diane Lloyd), Janis (Rev. Barry Clifton), David and Lawrence (Laura Lloyd). Loving and raising her children and enjoying grandchildren: Chris, Gretchen, Casey, Tom, Heather, Evan, Emme, Zea, Hannah, Rachel, Rebecca, Katie, Liam and great-grandchildren Aleia, Noah, Brianna, Madison, Jenna was the heartful substance of Mary's life. She counted among her blessings brother, Arthur Deutschbein (Virginia) and children; sister-in-law, Jean Ruhle and children; brother-in-law, Garth Lloyd (Diane) and son, sisters of Zeta Delta Alpha Sorority, and lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Rochester & Monroe County at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
Family & friends may call on Monday from 3-7 P.M., at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St., Scottsville. Services will be held on Tuesday at the West Henrietta Baptist Church at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush.
