Charles Levine Obituary

Levine, Charles J.
Brighton/Boca Raton, FL: October 25, 2007 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his wife of 45 years, "Fritzie" Levine, and his parents, Henry and Rose Butcher Levine. "Chuck" leaves his step-daughter, Brenda Lipton Babitz (Paul), grandchildren, Bobbi and Ted (Judy) Babitz and two great-grandchildren, Molly and Jack Babitz.
A graduate of the University of Rochester and the University of Michigan, Chuck volunteered for military service after college. He served as an officer in the Army and fought in Germany during World War II. During his thirty-year career as a Xerox chemist, he received numerous patents; inventing was both his profession and his passion. He enjoyed skiing, tennis and golf throughout his lifetime and had a wide range of interest in music and art, social, political and world affairs. He was a member of Temple B'rith Kodesh for over 75 years.
Those wishing to attend graveside services on Tuesday, October 30th may gather at the main entrance to Mt. Hope Cemetery. Services at 2:30 PM. Following the funeral the family will receive visitors at 210 Bonnie Brae Avenue through 7 PM. Contributions can be made to the Monroe Community College Holocaust Studies Project (MCCF, 228 East Main St., 14604) or the JCC of Rochester. Arrangements, Parsky Memorial Chapel.
