Robert Izard Obituary
Greece: Sunday, October 28, 2007, at age 81. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Jean L. Logan Izard; three children, Robert L. (Irena) Izard, Laurie (Greg) Lawrenz, and Richard (Linda) Izard; six grandchildren, Erica (Mark) Lightheiser, Kevin Izard, Katelyn Lawrenz, Ryan Izard, Emily Izard and Casey Izard; and one great-grandchild, Eva Lightheiser. In his early years, Bob served on the School Board at Hilton Central, and also enjoyed his time as a Greece YMCA Board member. Retired from Eastman Kodak with forty years service, Bob was an avid birder, gardener and traveler. He also enjoyed reading and cooking, but his favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends, including twenty consecutive Izard Family Summer Reunions.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 7:00pm in the Town of Greece Community & Senior Center. Memorial donations may be made to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (800-886-1762 or www.fsma.org) in living honor of his granddaughter, Kate.

What a great man ! Such a wonderful family. Bob will always be at Gorham when we are there. His warm smile, great big hugs, and good cheer said everything about who he was and how he enjoyed life. He loved his family and his time at Family Camp. He will be missed and we will always remember him.

We are so deeply saddened to know that Bob is gone. He was a valued friend and neighbor, made such wonderful soup and bread, shared stories of his family, always made us welcome in his and Jean's home, and will be so greatly missed.
