He is survived by his wife, Arlotte of Castle Rock, WA.; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn (Robert) Johnston of Toutle, WA.; grandchildren, Zachary Burkhartt of Kelso, WA., Savannah Kangas, Longview, WA, Tory Kangas of Toutle, WA; great-grandsons, Brent Burkhartt of Kelso, WA., Logan McDaniel of Longview, WA.; brother, Raymond (Mitzi) Burkhartt of Rochester, NY. Predeceased by son, Brent Burkhartt and brother, Henry Burkhartt; Production Manager, Paul T. Freund Corporation, Rochester, NY. 8 years active Army-Retired Colonel (Army Reserve) 27 yrs., Normandy Invasion Bronze Star, Memberships, VFW, American Legion, Elks. Pastimes, Master gardener, fishing, hunting and traveling.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Nov. 1st. 11 AM at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home, Kelso, Washington.
