Lawrence Wojcik Obituary
PITTSFORD: October 29, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Deanna Marie (James) Jacobs; sister, Evelyn L'Amie; many nieces, nephews and friends. Lawrence served in the 8th Air Force during WWII, was a prisoner of war, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for meritorious achievement. He graduated from the University of Denver and Buffalo State and worked over 25 years as an educator; at Wayne Central School, at Edison Tech, and Lawrence also developed and administered vocational education programs for BOCES in St. Lawrence, Essex, and Franklin counties.
Friends may call Thursday, 2-4, 6-8 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 11 AM at St. Jerome's Church, 207 S. Garfield, E. Rochester. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dear Aunt Mary, Dea and Jim,
I've been thinking a lot about Larry since the funeral, and hoping you are all dealing with your grief as it surfaces. His spirit has been very present with me the past week or so, and I know he is out of any kind of pain or suffering.
