Dworkin, William
Brighton: At 95 years after a long illness. Beloved husband of Betty Dworkin; loving father to Ann (Melvin) Braverman, Liz Dworkin of NYC and Ellen Anderson; step-father to Shauna Tucker, Douglas (Joy) Allen; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; brother, Archie Dworkin of Kansas City, MO and a large family in Kansas City; and his beloved Yorkie, Andee Oliver.
He came to Rochester as a young man from Kansas City, MO and was a solid and involved citizen of Brighton and Rochester. He was an active member of the Masons, attaining to the 32-degree and Scottish Rite. William was a leading contractor for both commercial and residential properties. He was the President of Modex Building Supply. The family extends their sincere thanks for the wonderful care afforded William from the Nursing Staff of Strong Memorial Hospital, 4-1200 Unit and the Lifetime Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2nd at 11 AM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1521 East Avenue from 3 to 6 PM Friday only. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may contribute to the Foundation of William & Betty Dworkin at Sojourner House, 30 Millbank St., 14619 or to the Aaron Braveman Education Fund, c/o Temple B'rith Kodesh in his memory. Hello Ellen, I just wanted to say that you and your family are in my prayers. Your father seemed to be a rich man who had a full life. May GOD bless and comfort you and your family in this time.
