Gene, Carolyn, Barbie and Terry,

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I so regret that we were not able to be with you all at this difficult time. I am so glad that we had that special time with Uncle Al in August. We have so many pictures and great memories of being together. He always made me feel such a part of the family as did you all. He is loved and will be missed....Jan

Al and the whole Popnik family are part of my fondest childhood memories. He was a good neighbor, my teacher, a family friend. I admired his zest for life -- traveling the world, seizing the day, enjoying the adventure. So many people don't. I feel privileged to have seen him again this summer. My love and prayers go out to everyone! Un abrazo muy fuerte,
