To Scott,Dave,Kelly,Paul and the entire Silloway family.

It has been 25+ years since the last time we all saw each other. When I heard of your fathers passing the time came rushing back like it was yesterday. Our fathers were close friends back in the day and had a mutual respect for each other. You guys were some of our best friends that we looked foward to seeing every weekend traveling accross the counrty following the national bmx race circut. Losing a parent is never easy. My dad passed away 2 years ago and everyday is still a struggle knowing his laugh, smile, and company are gone until we meet again. But know one thing......the great memories you have of your dad can never be taken away from you. Keep him close to your heart and he will only be a thought away. You guys will be in our prayers during this difficult time.

I weep for your loss, Mary, because I know how deeply you loved Jim. His many friends ache from their loss as well. Just remember, Mary - in our hearts we'll always carry the the memory of the laughs and good times we knew together in Rochester and Florida. "Thou the voice is quiet, the Spirit lingers still."

Dad,
You were an inspiration to a lot of people, especially us kids and most recently the little ones. You always emphasized education, family, determination, respect, generosity and because of that we are strong. You never set a limit as to what I could do and what was possible. Here are a couple promises: I will keep my head down and continue to push forward. I will also keep my family (everyone) close to my heart . . . just as you did. I love you and will miss you so much. I'm happy that we had one last good summer together.
Love,
Kelly

We wish you and your family our deepest sympathy with the passing of your father. I understand how hard this is right now for you. With the passing of my own father 3 1/2 years ago I still miss him alot today. When you have these feelings look into your children's beautiful eyes and you will see him again and remember how happy he was for you.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I pray for your comfort, and hope you can remember the good times with your dad.
I've been coming to Monroe Fluid making deliveries and pickups for around 21 years first with Overnite Transportation.
Presently with UPS Freight.
I saw your dad a few times over the years, and was very shocked to see his passing in the paper.
Well may the Lord direct your path.
Hope to see you soon,Perry

Jim was a great guy. I was blessed to have a a wonderful business relationship with him for twenty years, and he became a friend. He treated people wonderfully, was a loyal partner. He meant what he said and said what he meant and that is very valuable thing in this day and age. I will miss him and will not forget him. God Bless him and his Family. To Mary, Scott, and everyone in the Silloway and Monroe families:

Our sincerest sympathies are with you at this difficult time.

The staff of Edward H. Pope Ltd.

PS: We hope the following will be of some comfort to you as it has been to us.

--------------------

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name; speak to me in the easy way which you always used.

Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me; pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word it always was. Let it be spoken without effect; without trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well.

I'm so very sorry of the passing of your Dad. It made me look back and I figured I've known your family for over 30 years and spent a lot of time over your house. Man could he yell loud. I have many fond memories of Mr. Silloway.
I just saw him a few weeks ago at Pineview Resturant with my daughter. God Bless him and your family.
