Florence VanGalio Obituary
LeRoy: Died Monday, November 5, 2007 in Strong Memorial Hospital at age 88. She was born in LeRoy on February 17, 1919, a daughter of the late Enrico and Josephine Scinta Embroli. Mrs. VanGalio was an employee of Jell-O and the Bausch & Lomb Co. She was the wife of Samuel S. VanGalio, who died February 1995. Florence was a member of St. Joseph's Church and is survived by one son, Richard (Terri) VanGalio of Caledonia; 1 brother, Lawrence Amato of Elba, NY; 2 sisters, Stella (Gene) Kastner of Greece, and Marita Tucci of LeRoy; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Ann, and two brothers, Joseph Embroli and Joseph Amato.
There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Lake St., LeRoy. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the LeRoy Volunteer Ambulance Fund, 1 Tountas Ave., LeRoy NY 14482. Arr: Lovria's Memorial Chapel, 36 West Main St., LeRoy, NY.
