Raffaella D'Aries Obituary

D'Aries, Raffaella Rita
Irondequoit: Peacefully Nov. 5, 2007 with her loving family around her at age 96. Born on June 23, 1911 in Lucera, Italy. Predeceased by her parents, Ciro and Giovina (DiPalma) D'Aries, her husband of 65 years, Francesco D'Aries; her son, Michael D'Aries; her brother, Antonio D'Aries; and brother-in-law, Mario Grimaldi. She is survived by her children, Anna Cristillo and companion Salvatore Anzalone, Anthony (Jeannette) D'Aries of Acworth, GA., Mario D'Aries, Joann (Anthony) Polito and Adriana (James) Turner of Potomac Falls, VA; Daughter-in-law, Hannelore D'Aries; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren; her sister, Amalia Grimaldi; nephews, Lino (Ogla) Grimaldi of Turino Italy and Guido Grimaldi; also many other nieces and nephews in Lucera, Italy; and a dear family friend, Carrie Polito, Raffaella was a retiree of Bonds Clothing Factory after 20 years of service.
Calling THURSDAY 4-8 at the Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., 1395 N. Goodman Street. Funeral, FRIDAY 10:30 from the funeral home and 11 AM in Christ the King Church (445 Kings Hwy). Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
The family extends a thank you to the nurses, staff and hospice at Hill Haven Nursing Home for their wonderful and dedicated care during Raffaella's stay there.
