Survived by a son Royce (Karen) Root of Brockport; 3 Grandchildren, Joyce (Bill) Curtis of FL, Pam (Arthur) Knab of Murray, Denise (Steve) Ruf of Holley; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several step-children-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and special niece Cheryl (Russ) Maxon of Albion. Predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Calling hours are tonight from 6-9pm at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 39 Geddes St., Holley. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at the Disciples United Methodist Church in Clarendon. Burial in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials to the church. An online guest registry is available at www.merrillgrinnell.corn

I didn't know Bill well, but my Dad, Tom Ashbery did. He always spoke well of Bill AND Hazel. May he rest well.

I was always proud to still have Uncle Bill with us. I always enjoyed his visits and his company.
He was my favorite uncle.
