Edward Vicinus Obituary

Vicinus, Edward E.
Canandaigua: Edward E. Vicinus, aged 95 years, formerly of Greece and Brighton, passed away on November 4th at the F.F. Thompson Hospital. He is predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Helen M. Vicinus, who died on October 7th at the M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, and by his daughter, Joanne V. Manley, who was tragically killed in an auto accident in February of 2006. He is survived by his grandchildren, Mark E. and Sarah B. Manley; by his son-in-law, J. Richard Manley; a great-grandson, Owen W. Manley; a sister, Audrey Schrader of Hilton; niece, Donna Strelow of Farmington; and several other nieces and nephews.
Ed wished to thank the staffs of Clark Meadows and the M. M. Ewing Center, who looked to his and his wife's well being for the past several years. The family is especially grateful to the staff at F. F. Thompson Hospital, whose compassionate care for Ed during his last days went beyond the call of duty.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM, Friday, November 9th at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 183 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Interment will be private.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Holiday Fund for Employees of Clark Meadows c/o the Treasurer, 1 Ferris Hills, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
