Rochester: Quietly went home with the Lord on November 7, 2007 age 45. Survived by her husband, Michael; son, Marquis, parents, Donald Sutton of MD, Della Sutton of Rochester, sister, Sheila Sutton-Pickett, other relatives and close friends.
Calling Hours Tuesday from 11AM-12:30PM followed by Funeral Service at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 397 Joseph Ave.Interment, Grove Place.

To the Sutton and Albert Family:
I worked with Val when she was the office manager at RLA. My son Brendan was in kindergarten at the time, and I would come and volunteer in the office. She was very easy to get along with and it was a comforting atmosphere to be in when she was there. I enjoyed working with her and will miss her dearly.

I worked with Val at Impco until I left there and went to work for U of R. She sat at the desk right next to mine and never failed to make me smile and laugh. She was such a giving and warm person, and even as the years passed and I would run into her from time to time in various places, she would always open her arms to me and give me a big hug. She was truly the most wonderful person I was blessed to have known in my life. God Bless You Valerie, you were an angel on earth and now you are one in heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you during this special time in your lives. Tske heart and know that Valerie is no longer suffering and in pain. She is already rejoicing with the Lord and having a great tme in heaven.
We cry for ourselves for the loss of our loved ones, but if you always think of the good times and the closeness that you all shared, it will get you through. I'm at a loss to hear of the passing of a dear classmate. Val and I graduated from Franklin HS together. I am blessed that our paths have crossed. It's been a couple years since I've seen Val. Valerie impacted my life over 18 years ago. She was very dear to me and I will never forget her smile or the day we met. And for that, I am grateful that she came into my life as a mentor.

A neighborhood filled with children at play...
While their mother's in a distance calling their names.
As we grow older and farther away...
We still often wonder about the others....
Hearing our accomplishments thru our mothers.
Even as time passed by and many miles are between - I have thought of your family often.
Now as we are saddened by the loss of part of the neighborhood family.....

My deepest sympathies to Michael and Marquis and family. Val was a wonderful person.Very kind sweet and loving. I worked with her at Impco until she left, but she always came back to visit her friends, to share a joke, and grace us with her beautiful smile. She helped my daughter when she was going to college and shared a special bond with her. She will be missed dearly.

I worked with Val at Roberts Communications. She made me laugh each and every day. She was a beautiful person, with an awesome sense of humor. She spoke of her family lovingly every day. I will miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Albert/Sutton family.

Valerie was a beautiful person inside and out. I had the privlege of caring for her in the earlier portion of her hospitalization. While caring for her she could make me smile just with her eyes as she flashed me a glance and followed it up with a comment and a smirk when she was on 616. My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. Mike I know how much she loved you and you her just by listening to her talk of you and watching you at her bedside. She will truly be missed.

Val was a wonderful friend to me. She worked with my mother at Impco and I met her there during the time I was preparing to go to college. She supported me, encouraging me to attend her alma mater Southern University and beyond that, she did her best to make sure I was taken care of while in school by enlisting her brother to look after me. She was so sweet and so funny, she was genuinely warm and caring and I will miss her terribly. With much love I wish her family my condolences.
