Our family lived across the street from the Gibson's in Irondequoit for I don't know how many years and as a young kid I never saw Mr. Gibson ( I could never call him Lou or Louis) in a bad mood - even when I'm sure we were annoying him - as I'm quite sure we were quite proficient in doing! We'll always remember him as the kind of neighbor we all wished we had - he'll be missed but always remembered.

I'm sorry to hear Uncle Louie has passed. He is now at peace and reunited with Gerry. I do remember how very alike he was to my Grandfather, Lloyd, and miss them both.

I have great memories of listening to Uncle Louie tell me stories at a family reunion of when he and my Grandfather were kids and the trouble and fun they would get into.

What a deluge of memories came over me when I read of Mr. Gibson's death. His Critics truck parked in the driveway that always had our cat's paw prints all over it; the call my Dad got from Mrs. Gibson saying she heard a cat crying while she was ironing -- our cat had climbed THE TRUCK and fell down the flue. Going over to their house at Easter time and seeing a chocolate bunny the size of a small child.

I am so happy that my parents got to visit with the Gibsons on one of their trips from Arizona to Rochester. The stories flowed out on that back porch.

What a wonderful, gentle man who always took time to talk to a little girl and make her feel special. My deepest condolences to the entire family.

Louie and Gerri were always warm and welcoming. The last time I visited him at the Friendly Home we talked about the birds outside his window. He was a good a caring man. I have fond memories. Condolences to the family.
