Greetings Hernandez Family,
I meet Isabel through our work with English Language Learners in the Rochester City School District. She was at the helm of the tremendous work that has been done to ensure that all students learn at Martin Luther King Jr. School # 9. The work that has been accomplished by her and the team at #9 school should be shared with Bilingual programs across the District. It was a great pleasure to have worked with her, traveled to state trainings with her, and to have fellowshipped with such a great woman of God. I will remember her firm stance on educating all children, her incredible work ethic, her beautiful face and her warm smile.
May the peace of God that passes all understanding abide with you always!

Pastor, Danielito, Ruiz fam. and Hernandez fam.,

Santa was the perfect example of how a Christian wife, mother, friend, and many other things she was to everyone, should be. I will miss her very much, but never forget her. My prayers are with you always.

To my cherished and loved family: Pastor, Danielito, Noel, Ellie, Monsita, Carla, Selina, and the rest of the family and church family.
I love you guys! Please forgive my late response as I just I just heard the sad news, and I'm in shock as I'm sure all have been these past few days. You all mean so much to me, and my love, and prayers go out to all of you.

As I sat here tearfully reading all the heartfelt comments posted by all who have been impacted by Santa's life, I can't help but remember all the joy, love, and prayer she lifted up for me through the twenty years of knowing her. I remember the day my own Mom passed away and how within minutes of nobody calling you guys, and how you Pastor and Santa showed up at my door and Santa saying to me through her tears, "The Lord woke me up in the middle of the night, praying for you and your family. We had to come, we just knew." Many lives have been touched through Santa and your life Pastor and I pray that even in her passing many more lives will be touched by the realization that we don't live forever, and we need to check ourselves because God chooses when our time here on earth is up. It is time to get right. I know Santa would have no greater satisfaction than to know that even through her passing, people would be reconciled back to God. The tireless dedication of her life to the work of God here on earth proves that. Genesis 50:20, "What the devil meant for evil, God intended for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

It's in these dark nights of the soul that God's word become so alive and meaningful, Ps 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

love you family,
Abdy

You will be missed!

My heart aches and I've come back to this guest book a few times...

Searching for words to express my feelings to encourage and to pay my respect. I still cannot find those words, but I can tell you what I see...
God is awsome!!! Through pain and suffering He continues to use the Ruiz & Hernandez family to minister to others, to be a light unto this world.

I've seen tears of course, and heart aches, I've heard the outcry of those who loved Santa...but most of all I see my Pastor grabbing unto Jesus, I see a son open his mouth to praise the Holy One, I see brothers, nieces, nephews, in laws, friends, loved ones cry out to the One that sustains them and I see a humble mom standing strong.

I see union, encouragement, faith, belief, hope and love. I see the hands of our Creator lovingly holding everything together.

What a blessing to have had the opportunity to know a wonderful & beautiful servant of the Lord. To have had examples of all she stood for. To have experienced her friendship, love and leadership. Bro. Noel said it best "she was a gift from God for 55 years"

Stand strong. God is not done with you yet.

Dear Pastor & Nathaniel Hernandez,

We are saddened by the loss of Pastor Santa. She was a great women of God because she loved people very much. I remember when my wife became part of the L.O.T.W.C
family, Santa was the first to make her feel at home. She always went out of the way to make people feel special and to make sure that everthing was the best when it came to ministry. Cheryl and I both agree that Santa is an example of what every woman of the faith should be and I know that right now she is decorating the kingdom and making sure that we are all being watched over by the heavenly angels. We love Santa so much and there will not be a day that goes by that she will not be missed.

November 13, 2007

On Behalf of Iglesia Cristiana Remanente Fiel and Pastors John & Jacqueline Caraballo, we just want to thank you Pastor Santa for changing the world. Every person you touched is a better person today because of you. Thus, the world is a better place. The void you leave is inmense, and your shoes will be impossible to fill. However, you did leave permanent footprints, and we can only hope that we are worthy of stepping into those and continue the journey. Pastor Luis Hernandez, words will never be enough to help subside the pain. Somehow, there is comfort in knowing that the pain you are going thru has been divided among so many hearts, that you are not carrying such loss by yourself. Our sympathy to the families, and to your church. Santa, we will forever miss you. Sincerely: Pastors John & Jackie Caraballo

~ IT'S OK ~ It's ok to cry, it's ok to be sad, but it's not ok to stay in the same place you are in. It's time to move on. Not saying to forget about her, but to wipe the tears away, because there's no need to be sad. Show a smile, and laugh here and there, she is in a better place to live. Yes, she is gone, but not forgotten. So I don't want to say bye, so I'll say see ya later. Yes I'm going to miss her long, curly hair, the sound of her heels everyday, and the smell of roses on her everyday. But now all them things are washed away I'm sorry to say.

Mrs. Hernandez is alway going to be in my heart. She was a really good teacher. I feel really sad for what happened. I remember when she was told us that we are some good students. She said that I was a really smart student, and not to listen to what other people said about me. I used think that she was my family. Mrs.Hernandez was a really professional teacher with her work. She always told us that we do a good job. We liked to always hear her voice in the morning. She is really important to us. She taught us so much that we will never forget. We are going to miss her. To all the wonderful family of Isabel Hernandez,
I just wanted to share with you my feelings about your loved one. Isabel was one of the first people I met 22 years ago at #9. She always was ready to help and get the job done. I remember a time we were putting on the 6th grade moving up dinner, but many of the 6th grade teachers were at camp. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get everything done. Then Noel told me Isabel was going to help and then I relaxed. I knew I would walk into a beautifully decorated dinner. I was right. She will be greatly missed by so many. My prayers are with you all.

Palabras no expresan el dolor y el sentimiento... Estan en nuestros pensamientos y nuestras oraciones. Isabel dejo huellas grandes y estamos seguros que su nombre esta incluido en esa gran lista de heroes de la fe de Hebreos 11.

Dear Danny and Danielito -
I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. As a child I always remember Santa as a shining light. She was always smiling. I am greatful for all the times that you guys were there for my sister Debbie and David and family. Know and be at peace with that she is in a better place, with my loved ones Bobby and Mandy. My prayers are with you always. God bless you. Love you.

Dear Pasor Luis Hernandez:
Isabel Hernandez (Santa) has been, after my Father, the person that has most impacted my life.
It has been a great honor in having her as a friend.
Her place is irreplaceable within us. It comfort us to know that like in the November 05 activity "Bodas del Cordero" - The Wedding of the Lamb, that we know that she is already involved with the angels preparing the real banquet to celebrate with all of us.
With all my love for you, your son and Monsita.

Dear Pastor Luis Hernandez, I know you will miss your best friend, but the comfort in knowing that Santa has already walked trough the gates of heaven and has seen her Savior, Jesus Christ that she loved so much, will be your strenght. The Lord has welcomed her with open arms and have said to her "loyal and faithful servant, welcome home".. Pastor, I truly loved Santa, she always encouraged me to finish my studies, I am glad she got to witness the fruit of her labor. I always enjoyed working with her in the Bible Institute, she was an inspiration, in everything that I am doing for the Kindgdom of God.
I will carry her torch of Love and dedication, and pass on what she instilled in my heart.
Pastor Luis and family you are in my prayers.
Love you Santa, see you soon!
Your brother, Jose A. Nieves Jr.

Pastor Santa has been an inspiration, mentor, teacher, a friend. She always welcomed people unconditionally. She made you feel like part of the family whether walking into church, an event, her home or your home. She worked endlessly and her good works showed. She impacted many lives and will continue to impact the lives of others through her legacy. I have many happy memories of the times we shared over the years. They continue to play in my mind over and over. She has touched me and she will forever live in my heart because she has left her footprints. I love you Santa and find comfort knowing you have reached the chapter in your life we all long for, "to be in the presence of our Lord". May God comfort you, Pastor and Natanael, and give you strength, understanding and joy knowing she is were is suppose to be. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I Will Miss My Pastor Santa.

Go rest now precious one,
Your life in eternity has just begun.

All of heaven is now in your view.

Look all around,it's all in your sight,
There will never be another dark night.
Flowers and jewels, the street of pure gold, and all of the things that have been told.

I can just imagine the smile on your face as you walk all around in that beautiful place.
Greeting loved ones as you walk along, while singing heaven's most beautiful song.

This is so very hard, but it will all be okay,it isn't goodbye,we'll see you one day.
We love you and we'll miss you and at times it will be tough, but as with everything,God's grace will be enough.
