I was very saddened that Mr. Spallina did not have more time at home with you, but I was so glad that he got home to Darlene's home where he could sit in his chair, and enjoy the company of his loving family. He really wanted to get home, and was so excited to be leaving us. I will always remember the day that he sang a song to me, and didn't skip a beat! He had a wonderful warm smile, and glistening eyes. He always had a story, and loved to chat, and share with others. He had a full life, and lived it to the fullest. How many people can live to 93 years and never have been in the hospital?
I think he was disappointed that he was not getting well sooner. I am sure God took him as an angel so that he did not have to suffer. He had a very loving family, and it was my pleasure to work with all of you at Strong. I will not forget him, and am glad I could share so many of his stories when he was in the hospital under our care. Thank you so much for calling me at the hospital to let me know what had happened. I appreciated that more than you know.
My thoughts and love are with you at this difficult time. I know so many people can say that Mr. Spallina touched them in a special way during their lifetime, and I am one of those. Feel free to e-mail or call if you would like.
Hugs, Joyce

I was saddened to hear the news of Mr. Spallina’s passing. I will always remember the kindness he showed all the neighborhood children on Clematis Street. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of attending Red Wing games with him and Anthony Jr. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

Tony was a very gentle and kind man who loved life and the people he encountered along the way. His generous heart and big smile will be missed.
God Bless You, May you rest in peace.
