I was so sorry to hear the news. I haven't seen Jeff in probably 20 years - however, I remember vividly being a school girl in aw of my dear friend Jeremy's older brother - and our dancing to his 45 RPM's - I just thought he was heavenly. I had no idea about his being "Mr. Jones" - my husband can recite that whole ballad word for word.
I'm sorry I can't be with you Jeremy - I know he was your hero.
Love,
Peach

To Ellen, Eli, Robbie, Alice, Kit, Hilda, Jeremy and children, Jude, Pam and the entire Jones family- I am deeply saddened over the loss of Jeff - anyone who knew him knows what a beautiful man he was - he was not only a true intellectual he was a loving, kind, and gentle soul- It was so nice to see him so happy over the past 8 years with his son Eli - I will miss our conversations (sometimes in English sometimes in Spanish) at the Jones family gatherings - it is a true loss to all and I will always remember him and his smile until we see him again one day - and what a glorious day that will be. Love and Prayers, Maria

We met Jeff in Madrid in 1969 he was full of life and kindness. He always looked after our son and daughter when they were studying at high school in the USA as a second father for them. We'll always remember him as a honest, kind, happy, smart and loved best friend. Ellen and Eli you were fortunated to have him as husband and father.

Whenever I think of 9/11, Jeff I'll think of you. We were having coffee at Starbucks when the planes hit the towers. A shared experience with you that I'll never forget.

I'm saddened to hear of the passing of a kind and gentle man. I remember him as our Spanish teacher at NRCS #3 school. his smile and a friendly hello in the morning will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
