Ann Marie & Family,

I feel like i knew Ryan just through the many conversation we had at work about our children. You have beautiful memories of your son that you can cherish. Stay strong and know that we will all make this appointment to see God and Ryan one day.

Harvey & Marcia Nelson

November 18, 2007

Osmond, Ann Marie, and Lisa: Marcia, the kids and I are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Ryan. Words alone cannot console you, but the knowledge that he has transcended to a better place will give us all the strength to carry on. Ryan grew up in an environment of love and devotion from you and Ann Marie, his immediate family, and the greater West Indian community in Rochester, his extended family. Take comfort in the fact that you have our full support, all the spiritual strength from the God we all know and love. This is only the beginning of a wonderful journey, and we will ultimately reunite in a place the Lord has made for all his children.
Love, Peace, and the blessings of almighty God guide you through the upcoming weeks.

I am truly devastated to hear this tragic news. Ryan and I were friends back in junior high. After he changed schools we sort of lost touch, but I must say I am honored to have called him a friend of mine. I will keep you in my prayers.

To the Simm's Family,
Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day,
Be still like a desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear Ryan speak in the stillness, in the calm his love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of Ryan helping you along the way.

God giveth and He taketh away. I know that it's always very difficult to understand why these sad events happen in our lives, but eventually you'll understand.

You are in our prayers every day.

From: Darnell, Robert @ Judy.

We cried for him, we prayed for him, and we were there for him when he went to see the Lord. There were a lot of caring people with him on Friday night. Ann Marie and family,
My sincere and deepest sympathy for your loss. We talked about our boys together when they were young and in the same grammer school. They grow too quickly and we must let them go into the world to make their way. God has called Ryan home and he is in the light of the glory of GOD. Take comfort in the wonderful memories you all must have and one day you will be together again.
Love to you all,

Dear Anne Marie and Osmond and Lisa: You are in our thoughts and prayers. There are so many memories of the Cobra's and AQ that we share with all of you and will treasure. God has a special angel by his side and Ryan will always live on in our hearts and never be forgotton.

God’s Lent Child
“I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine,” God said
“for you to love the while he lives,
And mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or forty two or three.
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?

He’ll bring his charms to gladden you
And – (should his stay be brief) –
You’ll have his lovely memories
As a solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth returns;
But there are lessons taught below
I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the whole world over
In my search for teachers true
And from the things that crowd life’s lane
I have chosen you.

Now will you give him all your love?
Not think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take
This Lent Child back again?”

“I fancied that I heard them say –
“Dear Lord, Thy will be done
For all the joys Thy Child will bring
The risk of grief we’ll run.
We will shelter him with tenderness,
We’ll love him while we may
And for the happiness we’ve known
Forever grateful stay.

But should Thy angel call for him,
Much sooner than we’ve planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.”
