Chadwick, Charles S.
Brighton: November 16, 2007, at age 78. He is predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Harry Chadwick; sister, Evelyn Levek. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia; children, Rachel Wicks (Jeffrey), Andrew Chadwick, both of Rochester, and John (Maia) of Montclair, NJ; grandchildren, Jane Wicks, Daniel & Julia Chadwick. He is also survived by his brother, Norman Chadwick (Joy) of Boca Raton, FL; nieces and nephews. Born in Auburn, NY, Chuck was a graduate of Syracuse University. He was employed by the R.T. French Company for 32 years, becoming the company's Director of Public Relations. Later he owned and operated his own agency, Charles Chadwick Public Relations, producing newsletters and sports related promotions for local companies. A major interest was sports, especially Syracuse athletics. Chuck was a past president of Temple B'rith Kodesh, and served on the Board of Directors of the JCC, the Assoc. for the Blind, Planned Parenthood, Arc, and was honored for his contributions to Section V basketball and soccer, Sports for Israel, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference. He was a member of the Rochester Rotary Club, where he was a recipient of the Paul Harris Award.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.). Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Following the funeral, a period of mourning will be observed at 56 Southwood Ln., Monday, 7-9 PM & Tuesday, 2-5 PM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., or the Jewish Home Foundation in his memory.
