Mary Wright Obituary
Greece: Died peacefully on November 16, 2007, in Rochester, NY. Born in Rochester, she lived in Fayetteville and Jamesville for more than 40 years.
Miss Wright was a graduate of Strong Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Syracuse University and Indiana University. She was Director of Nursing and Acting Administrator, Jamestown General Hospital; Director of Nursing, Good Shepherd Hospital; and the first Director of Nursing at University Hospital Health Science Center (Syracuse) from 1963 until retirement in 1981.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Wright, two brothers, Robert G. Wright and Thomas Paul Wright, and dear friend, Kathleen McCulla.
Surviving are her brother Lawrence R. (Ann); sister-in-law, Norma G. Wright (San Diego, CA); three nephews, Thomas Jr. (Mt. Pleasant, SC), Timothy L. and Robert J.; and two nieces, Kathleen Baker (Cupertino, CA) and Julia Wright-Sile, as well as four great-nieces and two great-nephews and one great-great-niece, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call Monday, 7-9 p.m. at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English and Latta). Please meet the family 9:00 AM Tuesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., for her Funeral Mass, followed by burial in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY.
The family extends a very special thank you to the staff at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center (Mission) for the care and compassion they gave Adele.
