Frank Norton Obituary

Norton, Jr., Frank P.
Brighton: November 22, 2007, at age 89 from complications Lymphoma. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Miriam Cooper Norton; daughters, Mary Jo (Sean) Maloney of West Sand Lake, NY, and Katherine Norton (Paul) Warren of Chevy Chase, MD; grandchildren, Daniel (René), Peter and Emily Maloney, Christopher (Julie), Timothy, Marie and Lucy Norton Warren; great-grandson, Keegan Maloney; sisters-in-law, Jane Connor and Ruth Norton; several nieces and nephews. Frank was a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and he served as a Navy pilot and Instructor during WWII. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Price Waterhouse and retired as Vice-President of Finance at Dollinger Corp. He was a member of the Financial Executives Institute, a Town of Brighton Democratic Committeeman and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Rochester. In retirement, Frank volunteered his financial expertise for several area nonprofit organizations.
Friends may call Friday, November 30th, 3-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 1st, 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 601 Edgewood Ave. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to the United Way of Greater Rochester, 75 College Ave., Rochester, NY 14607.
