Thanks for the reminder, amazing how time moves on so quickly. Tim was a special friend of mine and I will never forget the many pleasant times we had together. As we all grow older time passes on, remembering good friends adds to our everyday life. Unfortunately some of our family members and close friends leave us much to soon. Tim was one of my special friends.

We were saddened at the loss of a friend and "brother". Tim was a sheer pleasure to talk and confide in and an inspiration to us in his many abilities!
We who knew and loved him can take heart in our memories of him as a champion of life's challenges. Thank you Tim. You won't be forgotten...

Tim was always a special person in my life. We met at Xerox more than seventeen years ago although it seems like only yesterday. He was more than a co-worker but considered a close friend of mine. He quickly established a reputation at Xerox as a no nonsense person, lets get the task done without ever offending anybody. Unfortunately because of his reputation of totally resolving major problems, he was the person most likely to get the tough assignments. His personality was one of confidence and rarely ever asked for assistance. His feedback to me on problem assignments was only the facts, never of complaint. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May God bless you Tim.

I was very sorry to hear of Tim's passing and unfortunately not able to attend his funeral, being out of state some 800 miles away. Tim was a very intelligent man with a solid grasp of a wide variety of subjects; my conversations with him over the years at Vavonese family gatherings were always stimulating and interesting. He was always courteous to me and had a lively sense of humor, as well as a drive and determination that kept him going despite some unkind blows that life had dealt him, which might have caused a lesser person to simply give up. My deepest condolences to Gloria and Colleen and the rest of the family.

Colleen and Gloria --

The funeral this morning was very moving, and we were honored to attend. Tim was a remarkable man, and we are so thankful that we were able to know him. His energy and vitality will always be remembered, and I will always be grateful for his willing and generous help during our Vacation Bible School programs. The memories at Chautauqua Lake are also very precious!

Since we could not stay, I wanted to let you know that you both are being held close in our prayers and thoughts.

Take care! We love you!!

Gloria, I am very sorry about your painful loss. I want to share a poem with you. I came across this years ago, and found it to be very powerful...

====================================

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.

====================================

Teresa Mayer and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Aunt Gloria & Colleen,
Unfortunately we could not be there with you and family in the time of uncle Tim's passing. I will always remember the great times we had ice fishing, taking his boat out and gathering the seasons firewood. You are in our hearts and prayers. We love you all. Vance and Bobbi.

Gloria and Colleen,
I wanted you to know that your husband and father was one of the nicest people I have ever met. His fight with cancer is indicative of his quiet strength and courage. We have all been blessed by his time on earth, but none more than you two. Hold on to the good memories and try to take some comfort in knowing he is no longer hurting. May the peace of the Lord be with you both.

I knew Tim since I was a teenager, sometimes we worked on my car together and it was enjoyable to learn more about automobiles. My Dad & Tim also often worked on their cars together. One of my fondest memories is when he gave me and a friend a ride to high school in his white Corvair. I appreciated how highly he spoke of my parents and I also considered him to be a dear brother. I am sorry for your loss.

Gloria and Coleen,
Hollie and I send our condolences and can not imagine your grief and loss. In the bible God says to have confidence that he will provide a earthly house and a permanent house. Have faith that Tim is with God in the permanent house that he provided specially for him. Have faith that he has a new body that is strong and free of earthly pain. Have faith that death is a departure from this earthy plane to the spiritual plane, and each of us has a special place that God has provided for each of us. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family at this time of sorrow.

I am so sorry that Tim has gone. He was a great man and great teacher. I met Tim in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and knew by his smile and dedication he was a good man. I will miss him and was happy I was able to see him before he crossed the sandbar. Remember the good times and I know there were many and know that he is a place where he is not suffering anymore.
With much love and understanding!

Gloria and Colleen-
My sister, my niece. I have so many fond memories of Tim. One in particular that stands out is how he liked to play catch with me. Come to think of it he taught me to change my oil also. More importantly though, he was so kind to so many people as well as our mother and father. He will always live in our hearts.
