Thomas Morris Obituary

Morris, Dr. Thomas Wilde
Brighton: Age 64, November 29, 2007. After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and lung cancer, Tom passed away with his family at his side. He is survived by Ann, his wife of 41 years, sons, Jeff (Jennifer) and Todd (Christine), brother Richard (Nancy), sister Dorothy, grandsons Matthew Wilde, Ryan Taylor, and Jason Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
Tom graduated from the University of Rochester and then completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, following his service in the Air Force. He went on to a successful career in scientific research and education, starting at the University of Pennsylvania. Tom then returned to the U. of R. to work at the Medical Center in the Department of Radiology. During his 23 years at the U. of R., he formed wonderful friendships while doing work that he loved.
Tom was dedicated to his family and friends, loved nature and photography, enjoyed music, and was athletic, particularly enjoying tennis, basketball, and running. Everyone who knew him was blessed by his sense of humor and kind, patient, loving personality.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, December 5 at 4 PM, at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
