Heard Mike´s name mentioned on the radio (WCMF)this morning and it brought me back to the days at Comix Cafe´. It´s 15 years later and I still think of him every time I hear a Billy Joel songon the radio(especially Piano Man). Thankful for his gift of laughter. Continued blessings for his kids Zachary and Sofia and the rest of his family.

Mike was an incredibly warm guy. I only met him twice (at the Comix Cafe), but he made me feel like I'd known him since kindergarten. He was a sweet guy with great energy and charisma. My condolences to all his loved ones.

Glosek Family,
My name is Laura Keller and I waitressed for a short summer my freshman year of college at Comix Cafe. It was my first waitressing job. If I had known how fast paced and tricky serving at Comix Cafe would be, I wouldn't have thought to make it my first waitressing job. You could say that people were jumping out of their chairs to help me get things right and feel more comfortable. Needless to say, 'Glosek' as he was affectionately called, not only was there for me WHENEVER I needed to vent about customers but also looked out for me when I could have been in a heap of trouble. This man went out of his way to help 'just another waitress' so I wouldn't feel so isolated and clueless. I'm in my third year of college now and I still dream about being a stand up comedian. I thought I was the wittiest person these people would meet when I first walked into the establishment and Mike proved me wrong tenfold. Sometimes I still get discouraged of following that dream but then I think of Mike. An unbelievable friend, father, performer, and just all around great guy.
I was shocked, to say the least, to hear about Mike's passing. I am so sorry for what you are feeling right now and you have all my support and best wishes. I'll leave you with my favorite memory of 'Glosek'. I worked that double show nights on Fridays and Saturdays so that same opening to the show was engraved quickly into my head. I still hear the opening music when I think of Comix Cafe. And, no matter where I was, in the kitchen, on the floor, in the back, I always loved hearing Glosek say "Goooooooooooooooood Evening Ladies and Gentleman!". At the end of every night when we were counting money, I loved watching Glosek put on Billy Joel and light up. I never left that place without a smile. Thanks, Mike.

Dear Carol and Tony, Michael will always be with us. I will remember him as a young boy showing us card tricks. When Michael and I accepted his uncle Bobby Scanlon's Boxing Hall of Fame award at Salvatore's I was nervous but Mike was funny and was at home in front of 350 people. His Uncle Herbie sends his love to the family.
