Tom, Tim, Lynn, and Sue,
I'm very saddened to read of Clem's passing and my heart goes out to all of you. My every memory of him contains his warm smile. His fun-loving sense of humor made him someone to absolutely enjoy being with. I'll think fondly of him the next time I play cards :) Best wishes to you all during this difficult time of healing.

The Measure of a Man -

Not "How did he die"? But "How did he live?"

Not "What did he gain?" But "What did he give?"

Not "What was his station?" But "Had he a heart?"

And "How did he play his God-given part?"

Not "What was his shrine? Nor "What was his creed?"

But "Had he befriended those really in need?"

Not "What did the piece in the newspaper say?"

But "How many were sorry when he passed away?"

Was he ever ready with a word or good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

If this is the measure of a man, my Uncle Clem surely more than measures up. He was truly a man's man and I will miss him dearly.

A measure of a man's life is determined by his faith. He must be an example to humanity. Clem held a moral compass that we all should choose to steer by. Truly a homeward angel on the fly. Always heading toward the clearing sky....
