Dear Mrs Cappon, Carol, Tim & Tom,
I was saddened to hear of your loss. One day back in 1968 this man with a brief case under his arm, walked up to me an asked me my name. I replied "Tom" and he said "Ah I have something for you". He open his bag and out comes a belt buckle with a "T" on it and it cost me a buck. I had just met John Cappon or "Cappy" as we knew him at Rochester Products. That was a dollar well invested because we became friends. We got so many laughs from the sale of this belt buckle. John was always generous and spent the price of that belt buckle many times over on raffle tickets which I was always selling for my kids school or some other charitable reason. The last time I saw John was at a resturant in Sea Breeze. He came over to the table and sang as he freequently did, "Tis years ago this very day I left old Ireland's Isle". He could sing the complete song and then talk about his Grandmother being from County Cork. The stories were endless and were always good for a laugh. You could not meet John and not have a smile on your face.
He always spoke lovingly about all his family and I felt that I knew Tim & Tom before I met them. John will be sadly missed. I am sad that our paths did not cross more often since I moved away from Rochester. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Mrs Cappon, Carol, Timmy and Tommy:
Seeing the name Cappon leapt out at me yesterday. It brought back a lot of memories, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Cappon. A lot of fun was had when ever he was in the room. He sure did like his chocolate chip cookies. He made me laugh and was an excellent host. Most of all, he was such a great husband to Mrs C and a wonderful dad. A special hello to Carol and Tommy. Miss you guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Cappon, Carol, Tim and Tom,
Old neighbors from Filon Avenue are hard to locate sometimes, and I saw the obituary for Jack today. I'm so sorry for your loss. We had some awesome times on our street, and I recall many times at your house. Please know you are all in my prayers at this time.

I will miss and always remember the good times hunting ducks, fly fishing for blue gills and shooting clay pigeons with the best double barrel shooter I have ever known. Uncle Jack was a straight shooter not only with a shotgun but in his relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
