Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Adam A. Galvez US Marine Corporal.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

I am DI Sgt Ethan Duncan Arguello's mom. Ethan served with Adam in the 3rd LAR Wolfpack during the 2006 deployment to Iraq. He was a Lance Cpl then, now he's at Parris Island turning recruits into Marines.
I haven't posted before but I've kept you in my heart and my prayers these past years. Ethan holds him in high honor and will remember him always.
I wanted to let you know I've mentioned Adam in a post to my blog. I also plan to put together another post with a brief biography of your son and his fellow heroes between now and Memorial Day. His story is so worthy of retelling.

Dear Adam,We never met here on earth, but I met your parent's last night at the 233rd Marine Corps Birthday Ball. My husband (a Marine, who I am very proud of) and I found ourselves at the same table as your parents, and it was my pleasure to speak with them throughout the evening. One of themost poignant moments of the evening is when the lone table with the blacktablecloth and empty chair was pointed out, signifying all of the brave ones whohave lost their lives in the line of duty. At that moment I felt the very heavyreality of the sacrifice that you and so many others have provided for us. I hada sense that many Marines where missing from our celebration that night. It wasthe feeling one might feel at a family gathering where some family members werenot present. You and all the other fallen heroes, were honored by a moment
of silence. The feeling in the room was palpable. Pure sadness, mixed with love, respect, and hope seemed to fill the ballroom.
I must say how much I admire your parents, and I am saddened by what they have been (and always will) be going through as they try to cope with the loss of their middle child. I can not imagine the depth of their trials, and the daily grieving of their hero, their son. You are a hero, Adam, I thank you for your
sacrifice and your service. I met a couple other heroes the other night...your parents. It is they who continue on in life, who do all they can to help other Marines and Marine families. They continue to love and care for your siblings.
They hold their heads up high when meeting new people and are faced to explain, once again, that their child was killed in action.A noble fact to be sure, but also one that must be hard to relive.
I look up to them, and I grieve with them. Their loss and their grief belongs to all of us, some of us are just not yet aware of the cold, hard reality of the price freedom.
Admist all of the sober feelings I felt the other night, I had another
overwhelming feeling...HOPE. Your sacrifice, the sacrifice of your family
members, the sacrifice of all of the service men and women of this fine country, all of their families...I am sure that it was not in vain. Even when things seems to be at their darkest, a glimmer of hope will remain. As long as hope is
held in the hearts of the citizens, we will have the light, the strength, to fight our fights. Because of you and others like you, I have the great blessing of being able to raise my own son in a free country. Your efforts and those of so many others have secured this hope.
On this Veteran's Day I thank you, I thank all the service men and women of America, and I thank all of the families whose names should be counted among the long list of heroes of this country.
A closing note to your parents:
May God bless you and watch over you as you continue your journey through life.
May God be with you as you pass the hours, days, months, and years as you wait for the joyous reunion that you will have with your noble son. He will hug you once again, just as you told me he did...in front of anyone and everyone. I know
that day will come for your family, the broken hearts will be mended, the tears of sadness will be dried. All that will remain from this trial will be the lessons that you learned, and the lives that you touched along the way.
Thank you to all of the past, present, and future heroes that have defended,
currently defend, or will in the future defend the freedom and liberty of the citizens of the United States of America.

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

How does one comfort the parent of a lost child?
We can mention that being with the Lord is better than life on earth; that he paid the ultimate price for a cause he believed in; that he didn't turn away at the final moment.
But you are a Marine Mom - you already know these things.
Know that I and many others share a little bit of your pain, because we all lost another Marine.

Your such wonderful people who reach out abroad to others in pain and grief on their loss,as you deal with the very same sitution.
Your accomplishments this past year amaze me. At times life passes so quickly, that its hard to believe its a year, and other times it feels like it only happened weeks ago. How it must be for you...daily, hourly and every minute. God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time!!
It never goes unnoticed to many who have met or know you! May God continue to easy the pain, and shed his grace and love upon you as Adam watches and cares for you daily. I believe that he is near and guiding you in your daily lives.
He must be so proud of you, as you are of him. When the sun shines and the moon glistens through the stars, he can only be happy at what he sees. God Is Good All The Time!
My prayer is for your pain to grow less, and the memories of your cherished son will live on forever and grow more meaningful every day.
He will never be forgotten for he gave us the greatest, the ultimate sacrafice!! We will cherish him to infinity.
God will guide you closer to him more than ever, and I know from our talks how very special a Mom and friend you are.
Semper Fi and God Bless your family,
Very Proud Mom of Cpl Antonio Caprioni~Inactive status on 7/27/07 from 2ND LAR BN, Camp Lejeune, NC.
Dearest Adam,
As I remember your life, as I know it, it brings many emotions to my heart. Through your sacrafice, I have met your Mom and what a wonderful lady! I'm honored to have learned about the brave man, and hero that you were and will be forever to Americans abroad.
As a Marine Mom, I will continue to be there for families like yours to honor their hero until there is no need!
It's your mom who has inspired me and the closeness of the Marine Moms, I encountered these past four years, to continue while my son has left active duty for the next four years. Peace be with you and your dear family.
Love, Marine mom Kim of Cpl Antonio Caprioni

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

We are so sorry for your loss. We thank Adam and his family for his service to his country. He is a hero in the highest tradition of the United States Marine Corps. We too have lost a soldier, Spec. Nicholas P. Brown was in 2/7 Cav of 1st Cavalry Division. We feel such a mix of pain and pride. These were volunteers who chose to protect us. Please accept our prayers and sympathy during these hard times. Thank you,

Dearest Amy,Tony and family,
Thank you for all you represent on behalf of your son Adam "Our Hero" too! You are a wonderful family who has been there to help others while you are experiencing the ultimate sacrafice of your son. God Is Good All The Time!!! He has shown us through you how to love, honor, and care for other's in need! We are here for you always!
As a Marine Mom of 2ND LAR BN your dedication and commitment to providing Christmas packages to our Marines while they were deployed was so overwhelming. You made sure other Marines were provided for during your loss and grief! I can't thank you enough for your friendship and God for the opportunity to unite with you.
I would like to take this time to honor your son on this Memorial Day 2007 and tell you what a fine young man and Marine you raised. Reading and hearing about him and the legacy he left, is so touching it brings tears to my eyes.
He will forever be remembered by many and the family of 2ND LAR Marines. May God Bless you and show you Adam's presence in your life as he looks down upon you.
I believe Adam is also looking down upon our Marines, Army, and Servicemen and women in Iraq and abroad. May he rest in peace! One last thing I must add....
"God Is Never In A Hurry, But Always On Time!
This is for you Amy!
